Sintered Neodymium Magnet

Neodymium magnet, also well known as NdFeB magnet, is the strongest permanent magnet material in the world. Neodymium Magnet is one menber of rare earth permanent magnets, another common rare earth magnet is SmCo magnet.

Compared with other permanent magnet materials, sintered neodymium magnet has outstanding advantages in magnetic properties. It has extremely high magnetic energy product, coercivity and energy density,at the same time, its mechanical properties are easy to process. These excellent properties have made sintered NdFeB permanent magnets widely used in modern industry and electronic technology. The common ones are permanent magnet motors, speakers, magnetic separators, computer disk drives, and magnetic resonance imaging equipment. In 2000, the output value of rare earth permanent magnets surpassed ferrite for the first time. In 2010, the output value of sintered neodymium permanent magnet surpassed ferrite, becoming a veritable “protagonist” in the permanent magnet industry.

Applications of sintered neodymium magnet

Sintered Neodymium Magnet is the most popular magnet in the world because of the strong magnetic performance. It supplys the best magnetic force in a small volume, which means it makes the device or product smaller. For example, in the past, a motor will be driven with a force between two wire coils prior to the magnet was founded. The magnetic field produced by the wire coils when the current goes through the wire. The magnetic performance request the wire coils big, that the motor would be huge. now the DC or the brussless motor would request a small neodymium magnet to drive the motor. So many products will use sintered neodymium magnet, like permanent magnet motors, speakers, magnetic separators, computer disk drives, magnetic resonance imaging equipments, meters and so on.
